Our Vision
Colusa County Office of Education’s And Literacy for All Initiative was created as a countywide literacy project to promote bilingual reading and writing skills to all Colusa County residents utilizing mobile technology; our primary goal is to have all children reading at or above grade level by the end of 3rd grade. This project was funded by the United States Department of Education's "Innovative Approaches to Literacy" Grant from 2019-2022.

Storytimes with ALFA: Literacy for All
Bringing stories, learning, and joyful moments to children, Family Child Care Providers, and families in our community! Our Storytimes with ALFA events create opportunities for children to build early literacy skills, discover the joy of reading, and make lasting memories together. Because every story matters, every child matters, and literacy is for all.
Summer Literacy Fun at the Arbuckle Family Action Center
Summer is the perfect time to learn, explore, and have fun! Families joined us at the Arbuckle Family Action Center for Summer Literacy Fun, enjoying hands-on craft stations, creative activities, and playful literacy experiences. Through stories, crafts, and exploration, children had fun building literacy skills while making special summer memories with their families.
