Alternative Education Food Cook-off

Alternative Education Food Cook-off

Twice a year, the Curriculum, Instruction & Accountability Department hosts an Alternative Education Food Cook-off.  In this themed cooking competition, students from the Adult Transition Program (ATP), S. William Abel Academy (SWAA), and Colusa County school district Alternative High Schools, prepare menus and food budgets, cook meals, and are judged in a blind taste test.  The ATP took home the gold in the Spring 2026 Taco Cook-off, going up against Arbuckle Alternative High School (fourth place), Colusa Alternative High School (third place), and SWAA (second place).
